GOODLOVE MANOR BOSTON TERRIERS
GOODLOVE MANOR'S BOSTON TERRIER CONNECTION OF FLORIDA HAS ENDED. GOODLOVE MANOR WILL CONTINUE TO BREED BOSTON TERRIERS ON A LIMITED BASIS.
We have two females that we will be breeding. Annie Greensprings and SuzyQ. Annie will be bred at her second heat. SuzyQ had one previous litter. Our Macho Man and Nicholas are standing at stud for other breeders. I do not deal with Puppy Mills, only breeders specializing in Bostons and one other breed. Puppies will be six hundred each, male or female, standard marking or mismarked, large or small. I do not sell puppies without AKC papers.
May 23, 2009: SuzyQ and Evo (Evolution, from Ocala) became parents to two beautiful puppies. One black and white male and one brindle and white female. Both are spoken for. See "GOODLOVE PUPPIES 2009" page for photos of the new puppies.
SUZYQ
Josie, Annie, Laney, Macho Man, Nicholas & Suzy Q.

JOSIE AND KATIE:
We bought our first beautiful Boston Terriers, Josie and Katie in 1996 and created Goodlove Manor in Archer, FL. In June 2006, we moved to Branford, FL, which is approx. fifty miles north of Archer. We bred the BT's the first time in 1998. Katie had four beautiful litters and has been spayed. She is now living as a companion pet to Sammy and the Metzgers. Sammy was their only BT, and needed a playmate. Katie has fit in very well with the family.
Josie had her fifth litter in Oct. of 2003, and has been spayed. Josie and Katie were were born Dec. 1, 1996. They have both been very healthy Bostons.
Josie has never met a stranger and loves attention. The closer she can get to a person, the happier she is. Josie is 23 lbs.
UPDATE: January 2009: Josie was diagnosed with an enlarged heart a few months ago. She is on medication twice a day, and is still quite active. She was 12 years old on Dec. 1. 2008.
UPDATE May 7, 2009: Josie has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She passed away last night in her sleep. Our baby has left us with some beautiful memories.

LANEY:
Laney was born May 22, 2000. Her normal weight is between 18-20 lbs. She has been a substitute mother to all puppies coming to our home, and was an excellent mother to her seven puppies in Feb. 2003. She is also very affectionate with Rosie and Archie, our rescue cats. We had her spayed after her first litter as she didn't carry the puppies comfortably and it could have resulted in health problems for her later in life.
UPDATE: JANUARY 2009: Laney was diagnosed with arthritis 2 years ago and had to have surgery on her knee, including a steel pin. You would never know by the way she runs that she ever had a problem. Dr. Nayfield, at Midway Animal Hospital in Homasassa, FL is a great Veterinarian Orthopedic Surgeon, and their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them. The staff at the hospital are wonderful.

MACHO MAN:
Laney loves to play with her son, Macho Man. Josie gets along well with the males, but not all of the females. All of them wrestle with Archie, the cat, which he loves. See photos on Laney's page of wrestling match between she and Archie. We now have three generations: Laney, her son Macho Man, and his daughters Suzy Q and Annie Greensprings. Our 2007 litter of Suzy Q's four puppies made four generations.
Macho Man is a very beloved member of the Goodlove Manor family. He was born Feb. 12, 2003 to Laney and Buster Boy. His father is 25 lbs. and his Mom, Laney, 18 lbs. We call Macho Man the family clown. He gets the funniest looks on his face, and is constantly wanting attention. He is a very active and sweet BT. At age five, he has sired 86 puppies for our Mandy and other serviced females. Macho Man -I named him well.

NICHOLAS:
We acquired Nicholas Spot-O-Gold of Goodlove Manor, a beautiful brindle male puppy from AnnMarie Van Lenten - Williston, FL. He was born November 10, 2003. He is a very sweet and comical little fellow, and has stirred up a lot of new energy with our BT's. He has his own page. He and Macho Man have become great friends and playmates, and sometimes rivals.
Nicholas sired his first puppy with Van Lenten's Munchkin. They produced only one son, but he is a grand little fellow, looking a lot like his Papa. He was also bred to Van Lenten's Betty Boop and they produced a litter of three. In June 2006, he mated with Gucci, in Gainesville, a little black/white cutie, resulting in a litter of six beautiful puppies. Nicholas is a cocky, arrogant fellow, but we love him.

SUZIE Q:
Mandy and Macho Man's daughter, Ms. Sierra Suzy Q of Goodlove Manor. We call her Suzy Q. She has the large build of Mandy and the long legs of Macho Man. She is one of the most pleasant, laid-back, beautiful BTs I have known. Just like her Mama Mandy. Her coat is like silk like her Papa's. She has so much love to give. I have a feeling she will always be our baby.
October 10, 2007: Suzy Q was bred to Rufus Odis Bumhower, and they had a litter of four puppies, two females and two males. All marked very well. All were chosen right away.
UPDATE: SuzyQ had her second litter of two puppies on May 23, 2009. One male and one female. Both are spoken for.
ANNIE GREENSPRINGS:
Ms. Annie Greensprings of Goodlove Manor was born on January 13, 2008 to Ms. Gucci Goo Goo of Gainesville, FL. Her papa is Macho Man of Goodlove Manor. She has the body of Macho Man and the pretty face of Gucci. She is a wonderful playful BT. Her favorite thing is to run and leap into my arms and smother me with kisses. She loves to run and play in the fields with the other BTs and gets along with all of them, and the cats. We will breed her when she gets a little older. She had her first heat cycle in October of 2008.
CATS: ARCHIE AND ROSIE:
We love Archie and Rosie. They are very special. Rosie is 13 lbs. and Archie is 16 lbs. They are not fat, just a large breed. Archie eats off the same plate (dog food) with the Bostons, and the dogs and cats wash each others faces. Rosie prefers to stick with cat food, but Archie has to try whatever anybody is eating. We were not "cat" lovers until we acquired them. They are such wonderful pets. Visitors are amazed at how beautiful they are.
December 2007: Archie has become very affectionate and gives kisses, which is new for him. The older he gets, the sweeter he is. Rosie has decided she has to drink water from the bathtub, and it has to be run fresh. Always something interesting with the two of them. How many cats respond to "show me what you want?" Both of them do.
UPDATE: May 16, 2009: We lost a great pet, our big orange cat, Archie. I miss him so much. It will be a long time before the pain lessens at his loss. He was with me night and day. Rosie, who is usually very independent, has become very clingy, and needy since Archie's passing. They were so close, and she still looks for him.
